Courage to Act - Sexual Harassment in Experiential Learning
Faculty and staff are invited to a workshop series on preventing and addressing sexual harassment in experiential learning and research contexts. We will host viewing parties with discussion in B210 R260 from 9:00-11:30 am.

STEM employers play a vital role in creating safe, respectful, and inclusive experiential learning environments.

In this session, we'll explore how to build more meaningful, reciprocal relationships with employers that prioritize student well-being. Through discussion and resource-sharing, we'll identify promising practices for setting shared expectations, clarifying roles and responsibilities, and encouraging proactive, trauma-informed approaches to preventing and responding to incidents of sexual harassment.

Together, we'll discuss the importance of safety for positive organizational outcomes and create outreach plans that invite employers into this shared responsibility. We'll help industry leaders see how prevention strengthens everyone's success.

Learning Outcomes

1) Explore employer perspectives on opportunities and challenges for policy change and protocol implementation within STEM organizations.

2) Workshop ideas and terminology for input and feedback from industry professionals with sector knowledge and experience.
