Overview: This interactive presentation introduces the "Working In Good Ways with Indigenous Communities" (WIGW) Framework, which guides practitioners in creating equitable partnerships with Indigenous communities.

Key Highlights:
Decolonization and Reconciliation: Emphasizes the urgent need for change in post-secondary education to address the impacts of settler colonialism and anti-Indigenous racism.
Seven Principles: The WIGW Framework outlines seven key principles for reciprocal and collaborative community engagement, rooted in consultations with diverse Indigenous groups.
Concrete Practices: Each principle is paired with specific practices for partnership-based experiential learning and strategies for systemic change within WIL and community-engaged learning (CEL).
Innovative Stages: Introduces two often-overlooked stages-"the work before the work" and "the relationship after the work"-to enhance community engagement processes.
Relational Assessment Tool: A new tool for evaluating the health and quality of partnerships, fostering ongoing relationship-building and effective collaboration.
